Hello WISE Community!
We hope that all is well with you. The spring semester at UC Berkeley is almost over and we are wrapping up our classroom research implementations with our partner schools. We’re also starting to prepare for the summer and fall.
Technology update for WISE researchers
The WISE technology team presents periodic updates to the wider community of WISE researchers and curriculum developers here at Berkeley. We wanted to provide a link to slides from our most recent update on May 9. Check it out for a quick overview of some of the additional features and improvements we’ve been working on!
New curriculum library
Most notably, we redesigned the curriculum library and put it in its own page. We added a “Features” filter so that you can easily search for units that have AI personalized guidance, simulations, etc. If you are logged in, you will also see a “My Units” tab that lists your own units. We are looking to highlight more units that are created by community members, so if you have units that you’ve designed and would like to share with other WISE users, please reach out to us with a short description of your unit!
Teacher tools redesign
In the coming months, we will be working on adding more summary displays to the teacher tools and redesigning the grade by step view. We are trying to make it easier for teachers to see how their class is doing as a whole at a glance. You can see some of our design ideas here and here. We will keep you posted on our progress!
Thanks for reading! If you have any questions or comments, please drop us a reply below. We always love hearing from the community!
